What was your motivation?
My motivation was to get healthy & fit and be able to go through life happy and not miserable.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
Knowing that anything is possible with faith, determination, persistence, and discipline. I posted a younger, more fit pic of me in my gym and decided it was “me against me.” And either way, we are winning.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
Yes, I had gastric bypass surgery on April 20, 2023.
How did you change your eating habits?
My eating habits were always ok. However, along this journey, I learned what portion control really is and how to eat to live and not out of boredom. I stopped eating carbs for a while. Then, slowly, I added them back in moderation. No sugar. I only really drink water and coffee. I’ve learned how to eat at specific times and not graze all day.
What is your workout routine?
I currently lift weights four times a week. I also walk and dance.
How often did you work out?
I work out 3 or 4 times a week.
What was your starting weight?
240 pounds
What is your current weight?
160 pounds
What is your height?
I’m 5’2″
How long did your transformation take?
It took six months.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I learned that being disciplined in everything you do yields results.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Use persistence and dedication to create the life you want. Manifest it, make a plan, and stick with it.
