Krystle lost 60+ pounds. When this busy mother of two got Covid in July, she started researching how to recover. This is the catalyst that led to her transforming her lifestyle with healthy food, exercise, and consistency.
I’m a 34-year-old busy mother of two! At my heaviest, I weighed 308 pounds at 5’11”. Now, I have lost over 60 pounds.
What was your motivation?
My motivation to start this journey came from being diagnosed with Covid-19 back in July and researching what would help me recover. My amazing boyfriend always said that most illnesses are impacted by nutrition. I knew that I wasn’t consistently practicing healthy eating habits.
How did you change your eating habits?
I began eating lean protein and complex carbs only. I cut out sweets and unnecessary carbs, which were my weaknesses. I also only drank water.
What was your workout routine?
Once I was cleared to work out again, I hit the gym hard. I did cardio and weight training 4-5 times a week.
As I started to feel better, I became even more motivated to keep going. My boyfriend always preached consistency because I have started and stopped so many times. This time was going to be different!
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
My biggest lesson thus far is that it’s a daily journey to make the right choices. Sometimes you will fall short but don’t crumble. God will guarantee your victory as long as you put in the work! Don’t you dare quit because YOU deserve to look and feel amazing. You have one life… live it!
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
My advice to anyone trying to lose weight is to celebrate the small wins along the way and remember that it’s not going to be easy, but it is worth it. Take it one day at a time and keep people around you who hold you accountable.
Also, take your measurements because sometimes that scale doesn’t move, and you can get discouraged.
