After struggling my entire life with my weight, I can remember all the way back to being 10 or 11 years old and my mom taking me to Weight Watchers. I decided to have VSG surgery in 2013. This procedure was unsuccessful, and I was only able to lose a minimal amount of weight. I still weighed well over 300 pounds. In July 2021, I decided to combat a lifetime of failures and have revision surgery. Now I’ve gone from 317 pounds to 151 pounds. 166lbs lost!
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
I have tried every diet and plan known to man and have never been successful. I know people have looked at me and thought, “How is she still fat when she does all those things?” I had to prove to myself that I wasn’t a failure. I also wanted to set an example for my niece.
How did you change your eating habits?
I switched to a pescatarian lifestyle. I have not eaten beef or pork since I was a teen. Also, I have a terrible sweet tooth, so I had to cut that down significantly.

I use ROKU TV workouts and Zumba. My favorite workout is Walk Away the Pounds (I add weights).
