Transformation of the Day: KrisCynthia lost 46 pounds. Her wake-up call came in the form of being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. This single mom wanted to create a healthier lifestyle, release the weight, and make her daughter proud.
What was your motivation? What inspired you when to keep going, even you wanted to give up?
My motivation is my daughter. I’m a single mother of an 11-year-old girl, and I just want her to be proud of me.
How did you change your eating habits?
I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes a few years ago, which was a wake-up call for me. I didn’t go on a diet. I just changed my eating habits, and I only eat when I’m hungry.
What did your workout routine look like? How often did you workout?
I work out twice a day, Monday thru Friday. I workout out with Just Dance on the Nintendo Switch for an hour. My second workout is walking for two miles in the afternoon.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 243 pounds. I currently weigh 197 pounds.

5’3″
When did you start your journey?
I started in June 2019.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I didn’t have surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
That weight loss is tough, and it’s mind over matter.
What advice do you have for people who want to lose weight?
Have patience with yourself, and have a great support system.
