What was your motivation?
I am recently divorced and needed an outlet. I started going to the gym and realized that it made me feel so much better. I decided to commit to a healthier lifestyle and there was no looking back.
What inspired you to start your weight loss journey?
Getting defined abs was the motivator to keep me going after deciding to commit to a healthier lifestyle. I have always been pretty small in weight. However, I could never get rid of my stomach pooch, especially after having a c-section. I had been looking at the Fitness on Fire page for months and the success stories were flowing in. I decided to give them a try. I must say it has been one of the best decisions I ever made!
How did you change your eating habits?
I changed my eating habits by reading nutrition facts/labels. I had never done that before. That’s the one thing my nutritionist taught me that really stuck with me. My nutritionist has opened my eyes to things I never quite payed attention to in the past when it came to my nutrition. I began looking up the nutrition information or looking at the nutrition label before purchasing any food.
I stopped eating fast food and fried food immediately. I don’t drink alcohol, so that part was easy. I also stopped eating nuts, because although they are good for you, they are high in fat and I was overdoing it when it came to eating them. Sweets were the hardest thing to stop for me. I love chocolate. Me getting abs meant sacrifice. After looking at the nutrition facts for one candy bar, I knew it was not worth it. I could have an entire meal for the same amount of calories.
What did your workouts consist of?
I had a personalized regimen that was given to me by my online fitness coach “King of the Fire” who is the online trainer for Fitness on Fire. I did HIIT training and resistance training, mixed with cardio. He also added some core exercises to my routine that I did daily to sculpt my abs. I chose to work out six days a week, with rest days on Sunday only.
How long did your transformation take?
I started Fitness on Fire on 10/26/15 , As of February 21, 2016, this makes 106 days on the program.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
The best advice I can give is abs are definitely made in the kitchen. I am living proof. My Day 1 photo with tells the story. I had been working out 5 days a week, two of those days with a different trainer, but I never paid attention to serving size or and calories. It works when you stick to a healthy eating plan. This is a lifestyle for me now.
Why did the “Fitness on Fire” Online Training Program work for you vs other programs you’ve tried before?
Fitness on Fire was the best program for me because nutrition and exercise go hand in hand. You cannot be successful with exercise and reaching your goal without making conscious food choices.
