Weight Loss Transformation of the Day: Kimonica lost 234 pounds. This amazing YouTuber has been sharing her journey online for 5 years. She has inspired tons of people (over 3 million views on her videos). We are so excited to share her story today. What I love about her story is that it proves that you can start right where you are, regardless of your size or level of mobility.
What was your motivation?
My main motivation is to live. For a very long time I just existed. Now, I’m finally able to live a full life. My mom and my family have been so supportive and motivating!
What inspired you?
My mom really inspired me. She’s over 50 years old and has lost over 100 pounds. She made it look easy!
How did you change your eating habits?
When I first started my journey, I was angry with myself. I could not believe that I’s let myself get that big. I took the nuclear route: I cut out sweets, soda, pasta and breads for a while. I started eating more fresh fruit, fruit and veggie smoothies and drinking lots of water!
What did your workout routines look like?
When I first started out, I could not walk very far, so I had to build up my endurance. I started walking about 10 minutes a day, as well as doing other exercises while sitting down. Now, I exercise for 2 hours a day doing cardio and weight training!
What was your starting weight? 481 pounds
What is your current weight? 247 pounds
What is your height? 5’5″
How long did your transformation take?
3 1/2 years and still going strong.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
Don’t wait, just do it! I feel like I wasted 10 years of my life that I can never get back. I told myself that food will always be here but will I? I ate whatever I wanted for ten years and it was time to take responsibility for my actions! That’s exactly what I did.
I have been vlogging my journey since the beginning. I hope that I can help inspire someone out there. I want them to realize that even if you weigh 500 pounds it can be done without surgery! It will take time, but it can be done.
