Featured weight loss success story of the day: Kimberly lost 110 pounds in a little over 8 months. She primarily credits the changes she made to her eating habits. Here is what she had to say about losing the weight:
“I lost 110 pounds over 8 months primarily by changing how I ate. The dietary changes began mentally. I DECIDED NOT to die or have complications from diabetes. I began to pray. I was asking GOD for answers to why I had so many bouts of 30 day constipation and blood sugars levels of 350 plus all the time!!! I was enlightened and found that meat was my issue. Eating it with every meal, every day was killing my body. Immediately after cutting just meat out of my daily consumption, I lost 20 pounds in 30 days (no exercise yet). After seeing that, I decided to see what wound happen if I didn’t put ANYTHING in my mouth that was bad. That’s right, I ate NOTHING but fruits, veggies, whole grains and water for a solid year and was exercising for half of that time. After losing about 50 pounds, I starting doing a standing ab routine for about 5 days a week for 30 minutes per session. Because I had changed my mind about food, it seemed like I woke up skinny!!! I went from 280 pounds to 170 pounds in one year. Now, I am a comfortable at 180 pounds and 5’6” tall! I have put some “treats” back in every now and then, but am still enjoying a healthy lifestyle!!”

Thank you so much for sharing. This has been my wake up call! Thank God. I also have an addiction to meats. And not just any kind of meat. I love the fatty meats. Being raised in the South under great cooks you can imagine what I am taking about. It will be hard to let my meat go but I will now take baby steps to get there. Thanks again Kimberly. I have a question though…. Did you suffer any side effects initially when you cut meat out of your diet?

Thank you all for your encouraging words. I truly am thankful for my GOD inspired success. I did experience some side from not eating meat. They ARE decreased sluggishness, no more blood pressure pills, no more insulin, decreased blood sugar meds. No more water pills, no more size 18/20 clothes. Being a 6/8 is a WONDERFUL side effect!!!!

All you have to do Jessica is just choose the best food possible you can put in your mouth. Eat to live, don’t live to eat. Change your mind about food and why you choose what you do. It has no choice but to work!! Keep in touch. Find me on Facebook so we can talk.

After I read your story I actually decided to go for it to see if I could do it.Now I did eat a chicken breast but that was the only meat I ate (this is huge for me ok) lol And I found myself thinking about your comments constantly (inspiration). It and proved to be true!! I am so serious!! I noticed that I wasn’t getting shortness of breath and I also had an increase in energy. THE SAME DAY!! This motivates me so much for day 2. Hi, Kimberly. I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS! I found this website about 3 weeks ago, and have been reading the new stories every night. Every year, I say that I am going on a diet. I am now the biggest I have ever been in my life. On July 17, 2013, I decided enough was enough. I have lost 22lbs. I’m sure it could have been more if I didn’t eat out all the time while out of town. I have never pictured myself not eating meat, but I guess it can be done. I am going to try this. My goal is to lose 90 more lbs. You are truly an inspiration that I can do this. Thanks so much!!!
