Kiki lost 22 pounds. Her motivation was a desire to look and feel beautiful. She released the weight with lots of exercise and healthier eating habits. She also learned the value of having accountability partners when it comes to working out.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I’ve gone from 183 pounds to currently weighing 158-161 pounds.
What was your motivation?
The mirror. I wanted to feel and look beautiful. I thought about where I wanted to be.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My trainer and the women that I exercised with inspired me to keep going. I received words of affirmation from both parties.
How did you change your eating habits?
I tried everything to lose weight in the past. This time, I used fasting to jump-kick my diet. I also ate less takeout food and less bread.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
I worked out five times a week, for 1 hour to 3 hours. It just depends on how much fun I’m having.
I worked on my legs the most. I wanted them to get bigger since I am top-heavy. I was advised to do that so my body would take up all of my fat from my top area.
What is your height?
I’m 5’5″.
How long did your transformation take?
I always exercised in the past. However, when I lost my job, I went even harder. My journey has taken five years, off and on.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I learned how to keep going. Whenever my schedule changed in the past, I always fell off. I can’t allow that to happen this time.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Start at home and work up the courage to go to the gym. Also, try to have a partner in crime who can exercise with you. Make friends at the gym if you need to. They’ll motivate you as well. Some people need the push.
