Today’s weight loss success story: Khristi lost 115 pounds by changing her eating habits and working out.
Here is what she had to say about her weight loss journey:
“My weight loss journey began dec 2010. I cut out bread totally left my addiction of sodas alone and drank only water or crystal light no fried foods very little or no beef or pork. All fresh and frozen fruit and veggies. I worked out 3 times a day for an hour or more. I cut out fast foods when I ate out. I made healthy choices. I’m not a big sweet eater, so I had very little or no sweets at all. I have not gained one pound since my weight loss journey and i am down 115 lbs, but I still have 40 more to go.”

This is truly a testament for you and to help others. All things are possible if you put your mind to it. I’m trying to workout at least 3 times a week. I at least try to do 45 mins when I go to the gym. I feel like I’m cheating myself if I only do 30 mins when I go. I can just imagine how it would help me and I would look in the long run if I stick with it, you did an hour or more of exercise.

That were the weight then I when to dr on nov 19 2012 I were down 306 so I go back to my weight dr in march and I know I lost a lots more since nov I losing like 10-15 pound a week it down off faster than I thought it will but I fill great so this is my story to tell just stay away from snacks fat food drink lots of water and crystal lite and you see different in your life so good luck to all the black weight loser who getting a health life keep up good work

Khristi, Thank you for sharing your story. It is very encouraging to know major weight loss can be done without surgery. I’m not knocking surgery cause people got do what they need to do to reach their goals. But it is great to know that dedication and very hard work does pay off over time. I’m in the struggle too with over 100lbs to lose. I’ll just keep going hard but I’m not sure about the working out 3 times daily. Most times once a day is extremely challenging for me. I’ve got severe arthritis in my hips(both).Being disabled and now not able to work,have gain weight.I need to lose 86 pds before having the surgery.The pain is unbearable and yet still i try and walk at times,Recently had therapy now i’m done.Needing to get shots in both hips just to eliminate some pain,that my mobility be better.My present weight is 287.Never have i ever been so heavy.I’m 5’6.My waistline/stomach is large,thighs also.I just want to know how can i lose this without streneous exercises.Please help me….My phone ph.# 863-875-8231.
