What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation was I was sick and tired of being sick (literally) and tired. I was in and out of the hospital for exacerbations due to multiple sclerosis. My daughter inspired me to keep pushing whenever my journey got hard.
How did you change your eating habits?
I changed my eating habits by first doing lots of research. Then, I began to detoxify my body and consume a plant-based diet and lots of herbs. I became the green smoothie queen. I also followed a strict eating guideline, and the weight seemed to just fall off (without incorporating exercise yet)! I followed Dr. Sebi’s nutritional guide.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
When I began working out, I started by walking, stretching, doing yoga, and doing simple exercises at home a few days a week. Eventually, I did get a personal trainer that I had for a year. Since last month, I have been going to the gym and training with a personal trainer three times a week.
Starting weight/Current weight
I’ve lost 100 pounds total and was able to keep the weight off for three years. My highest weight was 250 pounds, and I currently weigh 166 pounds. I’ve gained a few pounds back during this pandemic.
What is your height?
I am 5’4″.
When did you start your weight loss journey?
I began my health journey back in 2014. When I learned about Dr. Sebi, herbs, and sea moss, the game changed! I saw the most effective results ever! The weight fell off within a matter of months! Today, I am a certified health coach.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I’ve learned that the mind is truly powerful. Nothing can stop a woman who is determined, disciplined, dedicated, and destined to win and rise! Also, plant-based living will give you a new lease on life!
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
My advice is to women is to do your research. Research and then research some more! Don’t be afraid to fall. Just don’t stay there!
Set your own standard of beauty. Trust yourself and trust the process. Stay prayed up and committed to yourself, your goals, and your dreams.
