Kenyetta decided to restart her journey in May. She wrote-in to us to share the progress she’s achieved so far. She has not seen the scale move, but she has clearly lost inches.
My name is Kenyetta, and this is the start of my journey back to 185 pounds.
What was your motivation?
I lost 60 pounds and then gained them all back over the years, 2018 to 2019. I was struggling to get back to where I use to be. In 2020, I decided to get back on track with my journey seriously.
When did you start your journey?
I started my more focused journey in May 2020.
How long did your transformation take?
Three months
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
I’m inspired by children, my health, and wanting to look good without wearing so many undergarments that suck everything in.
How did you change your eating habits?
I stopped eating so much fast food and so many snacks daily. I also cut out foods that are high in carbs and sugars. I added more vegetables and protein to my diet.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
I strength train and do cardio. I work out 5-6 days a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I started at 235 pounds. I’m still at 235 pounds. I’m submitting this picture to encourage women not to focus solely on the scale. Take your pictures monthly.
What is your height?
5’2″
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No surgery at all. Just hard-work, consistency, and struggles.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
You cannot outwork a bad diet.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Never give up even when you fall off.

Keep it up and don’t stop trying no matter how hard because I’m going thru the same thing and I’m much older.
