Transformation of the Day: Keli lost 44 pounds. She began her journey by making small, practical changes to her eating and drinking habits. She also worked out daily. Over time, she figured out what works for her.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My biggest motivation was seeing myself sideways in the mirror one day. I just became disgusted at the way I looked. I was the heaviest I had ever been.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started out small. I only drink water. I may add a little lemon or crystal light for some razzle-dazzle, but other than that, it’s only water. About three months, I also started using Herbalife, which was a game-changer.
I started cooking more. I follow @stay_snatched for low carb/healthier options for the foods I love! At this point, I honestly don’t even miss fast food. I cook the majority of my meals.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
I work out daily and walk about two miles each morning. I’m currently halfway thru Beachbody on Demand’s Morning Meltdown 100 program. I mostly do the modified workouts, and I’m still working up a good sweat! (I used to hate sweating!)
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
Starting weight: 330.8 pounds
Current weight: 286.8 pounds
What is your height?
5’8″
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started on July 25, 2020, on some random afternoon. My transformation thus far has taken four months.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that the scale goes backward!! I love to see the scale move. However, inches fall off faster than the scale moves, so take plenty of pictures and remember why you started. Also, bloating is a real thing, and it will make you want to punch the air. Trust the process and keep going.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Just start somewhere. Make one small change to your daily life, and then add to that when you’re ready. You get out what you put in. Patience and consistency are essential because there aren’t any shortcuts. You will feel like you’re failing some days, but keep going. I don’t deprive myself of any foods. If I want a piece of birthday cake, I eat the cake, but I’m not eating three pieces. If you fall off, that’s okay too. Tomorrow is a new day filled with endless possibilities for you to be the woman you want to be!

Thank you for your advice. I started last month. At times I feel like it’s working, other times, doesn’t look like it is. Congrats on your loss.
