Transformation of the Day: Keisha lost 47 pounds. It wasn’t negative comments or questions from others that motivated her. One day, she woke up and decided to take her life back. She hasn’t turned back since then. Working out 6 days a week and eating Keto works for her.
What was your motivation?
I made a choice for ME and that’s why it feels so amazing. No one pushed me to do it. No one said I was fat in the before photo on the left. No one asked, “Have you thought about losing weight?”. (I wore my fat so well.) KEISHA woke up one day and said, “Girl, getcho life and lose this fat…” That was January 17, 2017 and I promise you that I don’t wanna go back. I am determined to hit my goal and not go back.
How did you change your eating habits?
I changed my eating habits by limiting my carb intake and limiting my alcohol intake. I increased my water intake. I’m an ambassador for Wakaya Perfection/Bulafit, which is a ketogenic company. Bulafit allows me to replace my breakfast with a keto fuel shake. Then, for the rest of the day, I eat low carb – less than 50 grams of carbs per day. I try to live a keto lifestyle.
What did your workout routien look like?
My workout routine is a full body, circuit style workout. I do weight training and cardio 4 days a week and on the other 2 days I strictly do cardio (running/walking). Sundays are my days off.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I started my regimen at 225 pounds back in Jan 2017. I currently weigh 178 pounds. My height is 5’4.5”. My goal weight is 165 pounds.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
Biggest lesson I’ve learned is that you get out what you put in. Those days/weeks that I don’t eat right, it shows on the scale. You can workout everyday, but fat loss truly begins and ends in the kitchen. Meal prepping makes a difference.
What advice would you share with women who want to lose weight?
Advice for my ladies: TRUST THE PROCESS. You didn’t get big overnight and you won’t get to your goal overnight. It takes time and quitting won’t speed up the process! Also, be your own number 1 fan.

A tip that worked for me is: pick a day to meal prep for the week. I do breakfast in a (small) mason jar. Salads, snacks and WATER, WATER, WATER. I became a. Vegan and started making my own nut milks (NO PRESERVATIVES). It gets to be fun once you get into it. Save all glass bottles and jars. I hope you don’t mind me commenting. You can Do This…..Dont Give Up. Peace
