Transformation of the Day: Keisha lost 40 pounds. This mother of four started her transformation in January 2020 after being diagnosed with high blood pressure. By going Keto, cooking meals at home, and working out at least five days a week, she got great results.
What motivated you to start your journey?
After being diagnosed with high blood pressure and seeing a photo of myself, I decided I wanted to look better, feel better, and live longer for my four children.
How did you change your eating habits? What was your workout routine?
I began meal prepping in January 2020, and I started losing 1-2 pounds a week. I researched Keto, and it was a game-changer for me. The Keto lifestyle truly helped me to lose weight.
During this pandemic, I was working from home. I was able to cook all my meals and get out and walk around my apartment complex at least five days a week. I walked 2-4 miles each day.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 185 pounds, and my current weight is 145 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 5’3″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey in January 2020, and I reached my goal by July. I’ve continued the Keto journey, and I’m maintaining my weight. My goal is to tone up and incorporate weight training.
This journey was not easy. There were days where I wanted to give up and stress eat. However, I stayed the course and continued my journey. Seeing the results I achieved and getting comments on my progress motivated me to continue.
