What was your motivation?
I got tired of the person in the mirror not being aligned with what/who I envisioned myself to be! I had to hold myself accountable and stop making excuses. I had to ask myself, “Why are you faithful to a relationship but so unfaithful to yourself when it comes to your health?” That lit the fire under me to pour heavy into me!
How did you change your eating habits?
I started to eat more protein and only good carbs. I fasted and started eating two times a day (some days only once). I don’t force myself to eat if I’m not hungry. I’m addicted to junk food, so the rest was easy when I cut that out.

What is your workout routine?
During the first part of my journey, I worked out here and there. Now I do cardio and weight training 3-5 times a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 250 pounds, and my current weight is 150 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 5’3″
Is surgery part of your journey?
I am an emotional eater, so I went to the weight clinic for help. I was prescribed Phentermine, and it took my appetite away! I used Phentermine as a tool to focus on healthy eating! Once I lost 65 pounds, I had a tummy tuck.
How long did your transformation take?
It took me a year to lose 100 pounds.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
I had to stop wishing for it and start working for it! I was in my own way for so many years. Procrastinating is unhealthy for any goals to be accomplished.
It’s hard to be overweight, and it’s also hard to lose weight. So I had to choose my hard!
