What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation: I wanted to find a way to get through my anxiety and depression. Working out motivates me each day to push through and fight through it all. The results I achieved and being an inspiration to others inspire me.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started to count my macronutrients to focus more on building muscle and losing body fat. I still enjoy foods I love, just in moderation and calculating them in my macros!
How often did you work out?
I work out five days a week.
What is your workout routine?
My workout routine consists of strength training and HIIT-style cardio. I do leg exercises with heavy weights three days a week, and upper body exercises two days a week. I also work out with my coach, Alphas Only (Instagram @alphasonly.eb), who has also been a tremendous aid in my journey and fitness goal!
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
The funny thing is…My starting weight was 230 lbs, and I weigh 225 lbs now! I realize the scale isn’t what is always important because my body is changing based on the muscle mass and body fat I’m Losing!
What is your height?
I am 5’5″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I actually started working out back in 2014. I’ve been up and down on my journey and different body phases throughout. Once I locked in and became consistent, it took almost a year to two years to get a good transformation. I still have a ways to go!
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that this is not a race but a lifestyle! You must show up for yourself, look at it as a journey, and embrace it.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
The advice I would give is to do what’s best for you and do it for you!
