Kaycee lost 59 pounds. Our Nigerian sister’s smart fashion sense was being hindered by her weight gain. She shared with us about how she took action.
My name is Kaycee and I’m from Nigeria. I never knew it was possible to get to where I was until my weight was almost getting out of hand. I no longer fit in my dresses. I love being smart with my dressing, but suddenly I started experiencing a stomach bulge that do not allow me tuck my clothes in.
One day, I just said no. I knew that something must be done. I quickly began changing my eating habits. I cut down my carb and sugar intake and started eating more of vegetable and fruits.
I joined a gym club because I needed someone to motivate/push me. I started exercising everyday, but now I workout three times a week. My workout routine is a group workout class.
My weight loss journey started in March 2015. When I started, I was weighed 96 kg (211.6 pounds) but today am at 69 kg (152.1 pounds). My clothing size in the beginning was size 18/20, but now I wear a size 12/14. My height is 5’4″.
My advice to others is that they should not look at their past failures. They should start changing their lives by taking action and doing something today. Just remain focused and consistent.
