Aug 2015 – Weight Loss Story: K.J. lost 43 pounds. This petite, full-time student decided to change her lifestyle by embracing a Paleo lifestyle and working out 4 days a week. She’s gone from a size 16-18 to a size 8. Here is what she shared with us about her weight loss journey…
Exactly 4 months ago, I decided to change my life and do something for me. I was 22 years old and weighed 198 pounds. For someone who is 5’1″ tall, weight is very noticeable. I wanted to lose weight the old fashion way. I changed my diet to a Paleo type lifestyle. I cut out all processed foods and switched to more fresh fruits and veggies. I also cut out pork and red meat, and settled for more turkey, fish, and chicken. In addition to those changes, I began going to the gym 4 days a week, focusing on cardio and weight training.
I now weigh 155 pounds. I went from a XL in shirts and size 16-18 in pants to a size medium in shirts and a size 8 in pants! I worked my ass off to get here! If a full time college student can do it…anybody can! I hope my pictures encourage anyone else out there trying to live a more healthy lifestyle. Remember the old ways won’t get new results! It won’t be easy, but it sure will be worth it!

Thanks so much for reading my story! So many times we focus on the big goal and not smaller goals. When I begin my journey in January 2015, I wanted to focus on smaller goals. Of course I wanted to drop 50+ pounds overall, but I knew I couldn’t do that in a month. I could however lose a pound a month, drink more water this month, eliminate bread that month, etc. Carolyn, a healthy lifestyle stats with YOU and the only person stopping you is YOU. I would like to know more about how to lose that much weight. I’m in my 50’s and medical issues. I exercise twice, do low impact weights 2-3 a week and walk 5 days a week. I tone, but no weight loss. Help!

Thanks so much Wanda for reading my story! I would encourage you to take a look at your diet. Diet is so IMPORTANT! You cannot out workout a bad diet! I live a Paleo type lifestyle. I cut out processed foods, grains, dairy, red meat, and pork. If that is too strict for you, I would encourage you to just cut back. Try to eat more fresh fruits and veggies and lean meats. i have been trying to loose weight for about 3-4 months. At first it was going well i was eating all the right foods and going to the gym 5 days a week, then i had transportation issue and i wasn’t able to go to the gym. So i tried walking in the morning and again the evening that didn’t go to well, i guess i was just used to going to the gym. I am still eating the right foods i just to exercise more PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a full time college student so I don’t always have time to go to the gym. I recommend checking out home workouts on Pinterest that don’t require weights and will give you the same results as if you are at the gym.
