Transformation of the Day: K.Chenelle lost 65 pounds. She changed her eating habits drastically and developed a love for fitness. The biggest lesson she learned was to trust the process at each level of her journey.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight when I started to weigh myself was 253 pounds. Currently, I weigh between 188-190 pounds. Right now, I’ve lost 60+ lbs down, and my goal is to be and maintain 180 lbs.
What is your height?
I’m 5’4″ in height.
How did you change your eating habits?
My eating habits changed drastically. I stopped eating sweets, rice, and limited my bread intake. I stopped drinking sodas, and smoothies became apart of my daily regimen. I also stayed away from greasy fried foods and only used olive and canola oil. Drinking a lot of water is the most important change I made to my diet.
Tell us about your workout routine.
I started working out three days a week for 30 minutes at the gym. I would do at home workouts on days that I didn’t make it to the gym. Resistance bands became apart of my daily routine, along with the ab roller. I didn’t do much weight training at the beginning, but I did a lot of cardio.
When did you start your weight loss journey?
I started my weight loss journey at the end of 2017.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
All of my weight was lost naturally, and no surgery was involved.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned throughout my journey is to trust the process at every level. I know that we all want to focus on the goal, but I feel we need to love and learn every level of the journey if we are not going to go back to our old ways.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
Never give up. Also, if you haven’t started, then you’re late! The time to start is NOW! No excuses for your health because you’ll either pay for it now with hard work and dedication or pay the doctors later.
