Weight Loss Transformation of the Day: Jessica lost 250 pounds with weight loss surgery. This proud mom couldn’t go to the grocery store without a riding chair, now she’s able to active and have more fun with her daughters. Here is what she shared with us about her journey…
Hi, I’m Jessica Marshall. I’m a 30 year old mother of 2 daughters and I weighed 420 pounds at the start of my journey. On Dec 28th 2011, I had a Gastric Bypass RNY (Roux-En-Y). My motivation was then and still is my daughters. I was a new mommy at the time, two times over. I was dealing with depression and low self esteem so I decided to take my life back. It was the best decision of my life. I wouldn’t change it for the world!
My current weight is 170 pounds. My height is 6’1″. I haven’t had any skin removal yet. For exercise, I do cardio and lift weights. I had to change my eating habits completely. I eat protein, green veggies and I don’t drink soda.
I wanted to be the fun mom and I knew that I had a problem. When I was 25 years old and using a riding wheel chair just to go grocery shopping because it hurt too bad to walk I knew I had to make a change. Now, I am the fun mom and I love my life.
