Hello, My name is Jermarilyn and I’m a single mom of two kids. I started my weight loss journey at 230 pounds. The breaking point for me was when I couldn’t walk up the stairs without passing out! With consistency and working out, it took me 7 months to lose 70 pounds! Currently, I weigh 160 pounds (height: 5’5″).
In June 2015, I finally decided to change my eating habits. The first thing did was to cut out sodas. That was one of the hardest things I had to do. I also started drinking more water, at least a gallon a day. I ate veggies, baked chicken, baked fish and salads. Fried foods and sweets, I didn’t bother to touch those thing for a while. I usually workout for about an hour, 4 days a week. My workouts consist of cardio and weight training.
To stay motivated, all I do is look at old pictures of where I use to be and think about how far I’ve come! My advice to others would be, stay consistent, don’t EVER give up!! Trust the process. It might go slow, but in the end it will all be worth it!
