Jennifer lost 72 pounds. This journey wasn’t just about the pounds for her. It was about health and creating a new lifestyle. She changed her life by cutting out junk food, meal prepping, and making exercise a priority.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
When looking in the mirror, I did like what I saw. I stayed motived by reminding myself this journey was bigger than just me.Β
How did you change your eating habits?
I went cold turkey. I stopped eating all fried food and sweets. I stopped drinking soda and juice. I only drank water, having at least 100 ounces a day. I also meal prep 300-400 calorie meals.Β
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
I worked out 5-7 times per week. I did a lot of cardio. I also included strength training and HIIT in my routine.Β
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 242 pounds, and I currently weigh 170 pounds.
What is your height?
I am 5’7″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey in March 2018. I lost the majority of the weight within the first six months.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
It wasn’t a part of my journey. However, now I am considering getting dead skin removed from my lower stomach.Β
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
It’s about more than just losing weight. It’s about being healthy and making it a lifestyle change.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Just start today. The hardest part is getting started. Also, make sure that you take before and after pictures.Β
