Transformation of the Day: Jennifer lost 54 pounds. She cut out junk food cold turkey and worked out 5-7 days a week to get results. Learning how not to slip back into old habits is one of the biggest lessons she learned.
What was your motivation?
I walked past the mirror one day, and I just didn’t like what I saw.Ā
How did you change your eating habits?
I went cold turkey when it came to my eating habits. I stopped eating all fried foods and sweets. I stopped drinking soda and juice as well. I had water only and drank 100oz a day. I also meal prep.Ā
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you workout?
I started with a lot of cardio. I did 60 minutes on the elliptical 5-7 days per week. Later, I added strength training.Ā
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 234 pounds, and my current weight is 180 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 5’7″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started on March 25, 2019. I’ve been holding at 180 pounds since September, but I continue to lose inches.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, surgery isn’t a part of my journey, but I have considered liposuction.Ā
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I learned not to let myself slip back and go back to my old ways. It’s a lifestyle change.Ā
What advice do you have for people who want to lose weight?
I always say that the hardest part is getting started. You can complain, but don’t quit.Ā Ā
