Transformation of the Day: Jasmine lost 75 pounds. She cut out the foods that weren’t helping her achieve her goals and worked out five days a week. Now she is focused on maintaining her new healthy lifestyle.
When did you start your weight loss journey?
I initially first started my journey in November 2019. I began by working out five days a week and making better food choices. Weight loss was a very slow process for me, but I tried my hardest to stick to it!
In September 2021, I wanted faster weight loss results, so I went on a very strict diet; no alcohol, no beef, and no pork. Just grilled chicken, fruit, vegetables, etc. I also stayed away from eating out and cooked all of my food.
I am currently down 75 pounds and still going. When I have the urge to get off track, I just tell myself that I’m not cheating anyone but myself!
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
What motivated me to lose weight was not being able to fit in certain clothes! What inspired me to keep going was all the compliments I was receiving. There were times when I wanted to give up, but I kept in mind that no one could do it for me!
What did your workout routine consist of?
I mainly did cardio and some weight training from time to time!
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was about 298 pounds, and my current weight is 223 pounds.
What is your height?
I’m 5’3″!
How long did your transformation take?
It’s been about three years now since I started!
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No. I did everything naturally by changing my eating habits and exercising!
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lessons I’ve learned are never to cut myself short, and you have to make it a lifestyle!
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
Begin by making small changes. Those small changes count as well. Also, there will be good and bad days, but never give up on yourself!
