Transformation of the Day: Jasmine lost 40 pounds. She decided that she wanted to wow her husband, who is in the military, when he returned from Korea so she decided to release the weight. Check out how she did it.
What was your motivation?
I was never a small girl, but after I got married I gained a lot of weight. I had no excuse for the weight gain. I didn’t have a baby or anything. I was just lazy and comfortable. My husband is in the military and he went to Korea for a year. I wanted to wow him when he got back.
How did you change your eating habits?
I cut out all the bad foods I was eating and cut out lots of carbs. I started drinking Herbalife meal replacement shakes and went cold turkey when it came to my eating habits. Bread was my weakness, so I only had it on my cheat day (once a week).
What did your workout routine look like?
I did spin classes twice a day and did Crossfit three days a week. I even worked out on my cheat days. Crossfit was the hardest thing my body went through. Because of my size, I was intimidated, but everyone at Crossfit was great and helped me out. I kept coming back because of the people. I lost 40 pounds in 3 months.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 190 pounds and I ended at 150 pounds. I’m 5’3″.
When did you start your journey?
I started my journey in September 2016.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
The biggest mistake I made was doing what everyone else did. You can’t do that, because your body is different from others. The same things don’t work for everyone. What works for other people did not work for me.
What advice would you share with other people who want to lose weight?
Take your time and have a plan, because this journey can’t be rushed.

Wow!! Truly a motivation. My husband is currently gone at military officer training (OCS), and my goal is 30lbs, though if I could lose 40 that would be even better!!! Your story excites me because you show it CAN be done.
