Jasmine lost 35 pounds. Clean eating, cardio and weight training was a winning combination for her. She learned to trust the process and never give up. Check out her transformation story.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
My motivation was all of my old pictures from before I gained weight. When I wanted to give up, I would just look at the first picture and tell myself that I wanted to be better than that. I had so many people rooting for me and watching my journey.
How did you change your eating habits?
As far as my eating habits, I DID NOT deprive myself of all the things that I love to eat. I would eat clean and throw a cheat meal or 2 in there each week. I love ground turkey and sweet potatoes. I also enjoy oatmeal and egg whites.
What did your workout routine look like?
I worked out about 4-5 times a week. When I first started, all I focused on was cardio. Cardio, cardio, cardio! I also tried CrossFit and Zumba, and I was successful with both during my journey. After losing 30 pounds, I got into weight lifting and I love it. Don’t be scared to lift! Lifting will change your body in so many ways.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 197 pounds and now I weigh 162 pounds.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey back in January 2016. I was able to lose 37 pounds in the first 6 months from cardio and dieting.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
My biggest lesson: Just trust the process and don’t give up.
What advice do you have for other people who want to lose weight?
My advice is to TRUST THE PROCESS! If you’re putting in the work, the results will come.
