What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
I wanted to look better. I was in a space in time where I felt unappreciated and wanted others to validate my worth. I started doing the inner work and realized that taking care of my weight and health is self-love. I’m the one who has to appreciate myself the most. No one else.
I fell back to my old self, and I’m excited to continue my health journey. My current inspiration is my new wardrobe. I love buying and trying new clothes. It’s been exciting and fun.
How did you change your eating habits?
I upped my protein intake and decreased my carb intake. I also ate whole foods. Yogurt, nuts, cottage cheese, and eggs played an everyday role. No soda or liquor unless it’s a special occasion.
What is your workout routine?
I worked out at least three to five times a week. (six times a week when I’m “in mode”)The first few weeks were primarilyfocused on cardio before transitioning to using weights.
Cardio: walking for 20 minutes to two hours daily.
Weight training: lifting weights and using machines three to five times a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
275 pounds was my starting weight, and I currently weigh 210 pounds.
What is your height?
5’1″
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
January 2023 to July 2024
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
Consistency is key. Every day and every decision turns into one bigchange. It’s not overnight, but can happen soon if focused.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, I lost the weight naturally. No pills or medication. All natural.
