Transformation of the Day: Jaclyn lost 112 pounds in less than a year. She was tired of having no energy, and knew she needed to change her lifestyle to address a number of health concerns. Check out how she did it.
When did you start your weight loss journey?
I started my journey in September 2017.
What was your motivation?
I was tired of being tired and having no energy. I was battling with high blood pressure, pre-diabetes and high cholesterol.
How did you change your eating habits?
I cooked healthy meals and maintained a low carb eating style. I also stopped eating fast food.
What does your workout routine look like?
I workout 5 days a week. I do cardio and lift weights. For cardio, I use the elliptical, the treadmill and I do aerobics.
Weight/Clothing sizes: How much progress have you made so far?
I have currently lost 112 pounds. I started in a size 30/32 and now I wear a size 18. My height is 5’6″. I still have roughly 60 more pounds to lose.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I have learned is to love myself enough to care about my health.
What advice would you share with other people who want to lose weight?
Never give up on yourself. Take the time to care for your own needs. Love yourself as much as you love and care for others.
