To that person who’s struggling, DON’T STOP! Even when u fall into temptation, start again. Just don’t stop, don’t give up! It’s not easy but it’s definitely worth it!”

Weight Loss Story: Jaboria lost 41 pounds. This proud mom of 3 was inspired by her sons, by other people’s success stories and a desire to have more energy. She sought professional help and began walking with weights for exercise. Check out her transformation journey.
My motivation included a number of things. I did not like the way that I looked and the way that clothes fit. I felt tired and sleepy all the time, and I knew I had to make a change. Looking at other people’s success stories and looking at my very active, athletic three sons inspired me to change. I wanted to be able to run and play with them without getting tired quickly.
I decided to see a weight loss doctor who put me on a 1500 calorie meal plan that I could handle. I also started drinking Atkins shakes for breakfast and lunch with healthy snacks between meals, like Fiber One 90 calorie snacks (which helped me with my sweet cravings). I drink water about 95% of the time now.
I workout at least 4-5 times a week. I started off by walking 1 mile with 2 pound weights. That has gradually increased to me being able to run 2 miles and walking with 5 pound weights. On weekends, because I am not so busy, I do a mixture of running and walking for at least 5 miles. I also do light toning using exercises I find on the internet.
My starting weight was 270 pounds and the last time I checked I weighed 229 pounds. I started my journey in June 2016, so it’s taken approximately 4 months to lose that amount of weight. however, I am not finished. My goal weight is 165 pounds and I’d like to get there by May 2017. I did not have weight loss surgery although I thought heavily about it.
My advice for others would be to first find your own motivation and let that fuel you. Don’t try to use someone else’s motivation. Find what works for you as far as healthy eating. If exercising is your problem, start off doing some form of exercise for 5-10 minutes or for as long as you can. As long you are doing something, that’s what counts. You can increase the time frame that you workout each day.
