Holly lost 37 pounds. Last year, the fit of her birthday outfit served as a wakeup call. A low carb, ketogenic way of eating worked for her. Now she is more comfortable, happier and has more energy. Check out her story.
What was your motivation?
I found my motivation last year on my birthday. My birthday outfit made me realize how much weight I had put on and how unhappy I was with my size.
What inspired you when you wanted to give up?
The results give me motivation. Knowing that I would have more energy, be happier, and be more comfortable with myself is inspiring.
How did you change your eating habits?
I embraced low carb and “lazy keto” eating habits. I said no to carb loaded foods and meals, and I’m still sticking to it. It was very hard at times. I cut out pasta, bread and other heavy carbs. I also cut out sugar loaded foods and drinks.
What did your workout routine look like?
I didn’t start working out until about 5 months in. I only worked out for about a month and then stopped. However, I’m going to start kickboxing soon.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 193 pounds and my current weight is 155.6 pounds. My height is 5’5″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
October 1, 2017. I could start to see a really noticeable change around April 2018.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
I learned that as long as you stick to what you want you can accomplish almost anything.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
Never give up on yourself. You only make it easier for others to do the same!
