Gina lost 42 pounds. An abusive relationship led to emotional eating. Eventually, she decided to end the relationship, put herself first and create a revenge body. Check out her transformation.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
I was in an abusive relationship, and I ate my sorrow. My ex was always putting me down and calling me fat. All of this made me feel bad for eating around him. I eventually left him and promised myself to love myself first. I also decided to get that revenge body!
How did you change your eating habits?
I stopped picking up every free snack at work or pulling into a drive through when I was sad. I stopped eating in the car and walked out my emotions instead.
I went from eating fast food (Popeye’s and Wendy’s and Pizza) at least once a day to using boiled eggs, tuna, and protein shakes for snacks and cooking meals at home. I made sure nothing was fried and always ate veggies first.
What are some of the healthy foods that you love to eat?
I love baked asparagus, fresh green beans, and rotisserie chicken.
What did your workout routine consist of?
I mostly walked for exercise, but after I lost 20 pounds and hit a plateau and then joined “The Camp” where I did HIIT sessions five times a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I was 235 pounds, and now I weigh 193 pounds. I no longer wear cardigans EVERY DAY. I’m wearing my new confidence as a single woman!
What is your height?
5’3″
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I stopped playing games in April 2018, lol. It took me an entire year.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
I learned that when I get off track, I don’t have to get sad. I just get back to work.
What advice do you have for people who want to lose weight?
It’s not a pretty or steady process. Determination and your mindset will get you to your goal.
