Transformation of the Day: Erica lost 70 pounds. After being in a long term, abusive relationship, she took the initiative the change her life and become an awesome example for her daughter. She had to completely change her lifestyle to achieve these results, but she has no regrets. Now, she wants to help motivate and inspire others. Check out her journey.
What was your motivation?
My motivation came after being in an abusive relationship for many years. I decided to start over completely with everything in my life. I wanted to show my daughter that no matter what is going on, you can be happy. I want her love herself and put herself before anyone else. So, I started my weight loss journey at over 200 pounds.
How did you change your eating habits?
I completely changed my eating habits. I cut out snacks, pork and fast food. I started eating more fruits and vegetables. I also ate smaller portion sizes, which was very important, and I stopped eating at 8pm. I wouldn’t eat until after 11am the next day. [If is a form of intermittent fasting]
What did your workout routines look like?
I worked out 4-5 days a week. My main focus was cardio when it came to working out! Once I shed all the weight, I wanted to start toning! I do 20 minutes on my squads, 20 minutes on my abs, 10 minutes on my legs and 10 minutes on my arms!
Starting weight/Current weight
I started at 204 pounds. The last time I looked at the scale I weighed 134 pounds. 70 pounds lost! My height is 5 feet even. My pants went from size 16 to size 6. My shirt size went from XL to small. No surgery. This is one of the hardest things I ever did in my life. I’m so proud of myself .
How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey in January 2014. It took me 6 months to lose the weight and I’ve just been toning and maintaining my success since then.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
