Transformation of the Day: Emerald lost 73 pounds. Motivated by a desire to feel good on the inside and the outside, she adopted healthy habits and found an eating style that works for her. She also created her own workout routine during this journey, and now she’s a fitness trainer.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation was to feel good about myself on the inside and outside. The thing that kept me going even when wanting to quit was my end goal, i.e., seeing in my mind’s eye how I wanted to look and feel and knowing that it wouldn’t take a lifetime, just day-by-day moments.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started eating a low-carb lifestyle. I was not completely Keto because I LOVE pasta. However, I did limit my intake of carbs and went for well-balanced veggie and protein-type meals. (With some sweets here and there. I’m a Taurus, and I love to eat.)
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
I worked out 3-5 days a week doing a workout I created called Full Body Burn. I don’t like to be bored during my workouts, so I had to switch things up.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 225.7 pounds, and my current weight is 153.2 pounds.
What is your height?
5’4″-5’5″ (I’m really close to 5’5″)
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started in August 2021, and the transformation took eight months.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
NO SURGERY.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
Consistency is KEY.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
My BIGGEST piece of advice: THROW AWAY THE SCALE. (it’s a trick, haha) I just want to show women that it’s possible. Don’t give up, and stay Consistent.
