Eboney lost 89 pounds. She was tired of not being happy and not feeling comfortable. By making practical changes to her eating habits and working out six days a week, she has created a healthier lifestyle and regained her confidence.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
I was tired of not being happy and being comfortable with the way I looked. I just wanted more confidence and wanted to love myself more.
Every time I wanted to give up, honestly, Instagram helped me so much. I follow fitness and weight loss pages. Just seeing everyone’s journey and their struggles has helped push me.
How did you change your eating habits?
I honestly what I changed the most is the way I eat out. I try to go for protein, veggies, and healthy filling carbs. I don’t touch soda. I also try my best to stay away from sweets, but lately, it’s been very hard.
What did your workout routine look like?
I walked a lot and did cardio at first. Now, I do more weight training than anything. (pre-quarantine)
How often did you workout?
Six days a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 314 pounds, and my current weight is 225 pounds.
What is your height?
5’6″
When did you start your journey?
May 2018
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
I learned to keep going. I don’t care if I’ve binged for a whole week, I bully myself to start over.
What advice do you have for people who want to lose weight?
Like Nike says, “Just do it!” I don’t care what makes you start. Just start and keep starting over every time you think you messed up!
