Transformation of the Day: Eashia lost 89 pounds. When her aunt passed away due to diabetes, she found the motivation to release the weight and focus on her health. Low carb meals, cardio, and resistance training worked for her. Check out her story.
What was your motivation?
I was always bigger than my mother, who’s in the military, and this fact inspired me to lose weight. Luckily, I was obese with no health conditions. When I lost my aunt due to diabetes back in 2017, I knew I had to make a lifestyle change.
In April 2017, I began my fitness journey weighing in at 275 pounds at 5’6. I kept a picture of my aunt on my phone’s lock screen to remind me to never give up whenever I felt like I wanted to. I lost a total of 89 pounds in just eight months!
How did you change your eating habits?
I changed my eating habits by eating low carb. Recently, I’ve been doing Keto. I do intermittent fasting in combination with Keto.
What is your workout routine?
I do 30 minutes of cardio five days a week, along with resistance training.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
The biggest mistake I’ve learned is to have balance and not to overeat on a cheat day.
What advice would you like to share?
My best advice for those who are starting their weight loss journey is to remember why you started and that failure is the mother of all success.
