What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation was hearing that I was pre-diabetic at my wellness checkup last December. I lost my dad to diabetes, and I was not ready to leave this Earth. I have so much more to accomplish.
How did you change your eating habits?
I mainly cut out fried foods and soda. I started eating more leafy vegetables and stopped snacking on junk foods. I am not on a specific plan or program. I’m just changing my way of eating.
What did your workout routine consist of?
I started walking during my lunch hour instead of sitting at my desk with junk food. This became my daily routine.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 232 pounds, and my current weight is 197 pounds. My height is 5’8″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started in December 2017 and lost the weight by July 2018.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
This is a way of life, not a diet.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
Stay focused and take your journey one day at a time.
