Weight Loss Transformation of the Day: Dwan lost 50 pounds. This proud mom wanted to be a more active mother and was tired of how she looked. Wanting to be happier and healthier, she sought help and found a great local fitness group that gave her the support and accountability she needed to succeed. Here is what she shared with us about her transformation…
My staring weight was 205 pounds. I currently weigh 155 pounds. I took me 8 months to lose 50 pounds after I said that enough was enough. My weight loss journey began when I hooked up with a fitness training group called In10sity in New Jersey. I was tired of the way I looked and knew I could do better.
At the time, my son was one year old and I wanted to be an active mother for him. However, I knew I couldn’t do it at the weight I was. I committed to eating healthier and working out 3 times a week. Then, 3 times turned into 4 times a week, which then turned into 5… and now I’m addicted.
I changed my eating habits by not buying junk food. Instead, I bought lean meat, lots of green veggies and fruit. I didn’t have bad food choices in the house, so I wasn’t tempted to eat anything unhealthy.
As far as my workout routine, I do Cross Fit training. That includes pull-ups, push-ups, burpees, sit-ups, jumping jacks, etc. One day, I will concentrate on my legs, the next day my abs, then arms and then cardio.
I recently received my physical training certificate and will soon be running my very own aerobics class. I love this lifestyle and my goal now is to help other people live healthier lives. I did this in my own, no surgery, no diet pills… just a strong will, dedication and discipline. I just want everyone to know that it is possible.
My advice to others would be to find an awesome support system. I tried doing it on my own but wasn’t able to push myself. I found an excellent support system made up of people who were going through the same thing I was. We were able to push each other. In10sity Fit Camp really came through for me.
