Transformation of the Day: Drenia lost 63 pounds. This 41-year-old aircraft mechanic stays very active on the job, which has contributed to her success. Drinking alkaline water and finding the right mix of healthy, whole foods has also been effective.
I’m 41 years old, and I’ve lost a total of 63 pounds since January! My starting weight was 210 pounds, my current weight is 147 pounds, and my goal weight is 145 pounds. Once I reach 145 lbs, I will set another goal to push even further! I feel wonderful! I feel renewed! I’m back to myself again.
What was your motivation?
As the saying goes, “Make your haters your motivators!” My motivation was being “body-shamed” on Facebook Live by someone I thought was my best friend/Sis!
When did you start your weight loss journey?
My change started on New Year’s Day! I did a strict detox/fast for a week. During my week-long detox, I did a natural colon cleanse for the 1st day (Epson salt). Then, I literally had straight alkaline water and limited veggies. On the 7th day, I did another natural colon cleanse.
How did you change your eating habits?
The only liquid I consume is alkaline water 9.5+! I also cut out most meats. I only consume certain types of fish and chicken, certain fruits, certain vegetables… & only in limited amounts.
The only fruits I consume are green apples, strawberries, and grapefruit. The only veggies I “like” and consume (that are beneficial to help burn fat and give me energy) are cabbages, broccoli, celery, carrots, and green beans. (and a few others I can’t think of right now.)
What was your workout routine?
I’m an aircraft mechanic, so I get my exercise in! No workouts, other than my job.
What is your height?
I’m 5’1″.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
Weight loss surgery will never be a part of my journey.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned so far is not to give up so easily.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
I would tell other women to just think about how much easier it would be physically, emotionally, and mentally in the long run once their goal is reached.

Go Girl!
Understand your motivation — you look great.
I would like to add that, although a “friends” lack to protect your heart should be less effective to the biggest reason…
Your amazing decision to envision better.
Which you did an awesome job at moving forward.
No one can shame us if we don’t feel shamed. Take back your worth.
And you exhibit this!
