Guess what, Ladies. That challenging thing that you are running away from is the key to the change you want to see in your life. There is no getting around it.
On this weight loss journey, we are faced with real, profound challenges. Health challenges. Eating challenges. Exercise challenges. Physical limitations. Limits imposed by illness. Lack of support from family, spouses and friends. What we must focus on is that if we CAN overcome these challenges and do the things that improve our health and allow our bodies to release the weight, we WILL be able to CHANGE OUR LIVES in a very concrete way.

Thank you for posting. My friend Yemisi introduced me to this site. I am so happy she did. I have a boot on my left leg and she encouraged me to find something I can do that can at least get me started. I can control what and why I eat. And doing that every day is challenging, however, fitting into my clothes properly and feeling better knowing that I consciously made this decision. Are awesome first steps in changing my life one day at a time.

I have liked your Facebook page and have followed so many weight loss successes. I unfortunately have not been successful. I have hypothyroid disorder. I have tried weight watchers, south beach, and other low carb diets. I’ve become a vegetarian not eating meat, not eating breads and still no weight loss. I have gained 30 lbs after going on antidepressants. I was already 30 lbs overweight. I now need to lose 60 to 70 lbs. Do you have any advice for me? I really want a program I can stick with. Oh and I didn’t add that I work out two to three times a week. Zumba and Body Pump classes at Gold’s Gym. I also walk 30 – 45 mins a day.

Hi Arthuretta, Have you talked to a medical professional?

Thanks for the advice. I shall keep that in mind to further motivate me.
