Donna lost 44 pounds/20kg. PCOS and high blood pressure could not stop her from changing her life. With her family encouraging her, she made healthier food choices, worked out, and found out that it’s never too late to change your lifestyle.
What was your motivation?
I had been battling with my weight for years, due to being diagnosed with PCOS as a teenager. My weight always fluctuated. Also, I was suffering from high blood pressure.
What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
My husband and family supported me all the way. They kept encouraging me. Also, I’m in my 40s now (43 years old). I want to keep myself in the best of health that I can.
How did you change your eating habits?
I began a plan called the #ENHANCEYOUPLAN. The plan consists of two plant-based shakes a day, two healthy snacks throughout the day, and one main meal.
What did your workout routine look like? How often did you workout?
I starting working out about three times a week and walking everywhere.

My starting weight was 238 pounds /108kgs. My current weight is
194 pounds /88kgs.

I learned that its never to late to make a lifestyle change.
What advice do you have for people who want to lose weight?.
Don’t put it off or keep saying that you’ll do it tomorrow. Tomorrow may never come. Just pace yourself and stay positive.
Mindset is the key to getting you through. Don’t look for a quick fix, do it gradually and you will see the difference.
