“Hello BWLW! I started my new lifestyle May 2012 with the huge support of my boyfriend who also has lost over 30 pounds. My weight started out at 165. My first goal: stopped cold turkey with sodas/sweet teas..I’m only drinking water even when dining out, I then started working out and started eating more baked foods, salads, fruits/veggies. I am a faithful member of Planet Fitness 5 days a week doing cardio exercise and weights. I am currently weighing in at 137. I am proud of myself and all the women on this page who decided to make a change for the better.”

Hi you look great! I want to know how do you maintain your cute hairstyle with working out so much? Yes I know your health is more important but I would like to know how to maintain my hair as well and remain healthy any suggestions? Thanks

You don’t know how much this inspires and motivates me! Your beginning weight is very close to where I am; I, too, am a Planet Fitness member where (when I’m on) get in 3-5 days a week. Cardio and resistance training… Sometimes it seems an impossible feat, but you’re the living proof. Thanks for sharing, and congratulations on your success! (My short-term goal weight, 150lbs; long-term goal, 135-140lbs.)

@Kellye…because I do work out 5 days a week..I keep my haircut in what I like to call the “Halle Berry” cut..very simple and easy to manage..I co-wash my hair with Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner after every work-out and once a week I wash/shampoo with Creme of Nature Argan Oil. When I co-wash..I leave the conditioner on my hair for 30 minutes since sweat dries out your hair. And I keep my scalp greased with Coconut Oil.
