Transformation of the Day: December lost 45 pounds. This mother of three experienced depression after both of her parents passed away due to serious medical issues and her marriage ended. She pushed forward and decided to take her life back.
My name is December and I would like to share my story to inspire others to keep pushing, no matter long it takes. I am a mother of three children, and I always been heavy. My heaviest weight was 320 pounds in 2010.
My dad had a stroke in 2014, I lost my mom in 2015, and I had a failed marriage in 2016. All of this led me into a depression. In January 2019, I made a commitment to myself to get my life back. I’ve gone from 215 pounds to 170 pounds naturally.
What was your motivation?
My motivation was watching my mother fight for her life after having kidney and heart issues. A stroke ultimately took her life. The diseases she faced run heavily in my family. I want to do my part to be an example to my children and show them better ways of eating and the importance of exercise.
How did you change your eating habits?
In January 2019, I cut out all dairy. By June, I cut out chicken as well. In October, I cut out all meat and became a Vegan.
What is your workout routine?
I work out five times a week. I lift weights for the most part, but I make sure to get a dance class in for my cardio/enjoyment.
What is your height?
I am 5’6″.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned in life and in the gym is to just keep going.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
My advice would be to put your health first and find fun recipes you will enjoy.

You look so good. Amazing but nothing is impossible to achieve when your mind is in strategy mode and then you internalize that focus. Good for you. Health is wealth. My condolences to the loss of your parents. &Your marraige. Blessings to your newness on life. Old things really are passed away & all things become the new YOU.

I usually eat is a chicken and salmon along with lots of vegetables or a salad. You also mentioned that you lift weights. How much do you lift? My choice of exercise is walking 3 miles 5 times a week. Do you have anymore suggestions?
