Weight Loss Journey: Decarla lost 43 pounds and transformed her figure. She was done with yo-yo dieting and letting her emotions overrun her efforts to change. She decided to put her full focus on healthy eating and regular exercise. Check out more info about her journey.
I began this journey because I got to the point where I was tired of all the yo-yo dieting that I had entertained over the years. In the past, I would let my emotions and personal life interfere with any progress that I had made with health and wellness regimens. After going through two very tough and life changing situations late last year, I decided to take care of me and my body fully.
I stopped eating fast food and began to eat only homemade and nutritious meals. I also cut out white starches and I don’t eat fast food. I found myself eating more lean foods. I eat lean protein, plenty of vegetables and fruits packed with fiber. I love sweet potatoes and turkey meat. Every other week, I cut out whole grains and dismiss any grain products from my diet. I don’t drink sodas. I only drink water or green tea or Herbalife products. I use an Herbalife supplement along with eating 3 full meals per day and 2 snacks.
I work out everyday. Very seldom do I take weekends off. My workouts became more intense and challenging. I incorporated heavier weight into my weight training, with variation on certain areas of my body. I do a bit of every kind of workout conditioning and weight training that there is, from cardio to cross training.
My starting weight was 183 pounds, and now I weight 140 pounds. I am 5’4″. I started my transformation two years ago, and ended right back at the same starting weight. Last year, I wanted to make a permanent change and stay on the right path to wellness.
I would advise others to stay the course no matter how hard life gets. On the days that you feel the worst, go in that gym in make everything you do your punching bag. Eat the foods that you never thought that you would eat. Healthy eating should be a primary factor. Those foods are the very thing that make your body change and allow you to maintain you progress. Make the gym your second job, your haven, your new boyfriend, and most importantly your hobby.

I found your story to be motivating. I use to weigh 187 in 2013. During my recovery and rehabilitation from a strok in that same year I most 30 lbs. Today I am weighing almost the same. I am finding it hard to stay on track and motivated every time I start a weight loss program. I plan to start over again after the Memorial Holiday. I want to be at my best weight and health that I can be be my 50th birthday next March.
