Weight Loss Transformation of the Day: Danielle lost 95 pounds in one year. This thirtysomething mom of 3 had justified her weight for years. After learning that she was at risk for high blood pressure and blood sugar issues, she decided to make a change for her family. She found a plan and followed it to a T, along with regular exercise. Here is what she shared with us about her journey…
My name is Danielle White. I am a 35 year old mother of 3 boys. In January of 2012, I went for an annual physical and I’d reached my heaviest weight of 257 pounds (I am 5’4″). I went home and cried. I have always been overweight, but justified it because everyone tried to make me feel better by telling me that my weight was “all in my boobs’. My blood pressure was high and they were now on alert concerning my blood sugar. I decided to make a change. I wanted to be able to run and play with my boys and stop hiding behind others in pictures.

A coworker had just started a resolution and invited me to join. I purchased the book, “The Fat Flush Plan” and followed the diet EXACTLY. I was so surprised by the results in the first few weeks that I decided to stick with it. I had a protein/berry/flaxseed smoothie every morning. Then, I had lean meat and vegetables for the other two meals. I completely eliminated salt (added or anything processed) and limited my snacks to fresh fruit or boiled eggs.
I joined LA Fitness and began going to cardio/classes at least 4 times a week. I completely eliminated alcohol and ultimately got a personal trainer. By December of 2012, I weighed 162 pounds.
I have never been happier. It’s a struggle and I have probably gained back around 10 pounds or so but whenever I fall off, I get up and start over again. Previously, I had time for everyone and everything else other than my health. Now, I’ve decided to make me a priority! I hope my story helps someone else.
