Transformation of the Day: Danielle lost 35 pounds with healthy eating habits and exercise. This mom enjoys being able to run around with her young son. She feels good in her skin and no longer avoids taking pictures. Check out her story.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
My motivation is wanting to be healthy and being comfortable in the skin I’m in. I want to look into the mirror and be proud of what I see. Not shying away from pictures, and being able to run around and play with my 3-year-old son motivates me.
How did you change your eating habits?
I stopped drinking soda and drank a gallon of water each day. I also limited my bread and carb intake. I did the X28 online program.
What did your workout routine consist of?
I did plenty of jumping jacks, burpees, planks, high knees, and crunches. These exercises are all part of the X28 online program. I worked out six times a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 250 pounds, and my current weight is 215 pounds.
What is your height?
5’4″
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started in July 2018, but I’ve been on my journey for two years, on and off. Consistency is key. I did the 28-day challenge several times and saw a HUGE difference by staying consistent.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
NO. Nothing but a good diet and exercise. I did this naturally, and I got this far because I’m hungry for it! And I’ll continue to work until I reach my goals.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I’ve learned never to give up, no matter how hard it gets. No matter how tired I get, I have to PUSH!
Fitness is all about having the right mental attitude. It starts in your mind. Stay disciplined and consistent, and you’ll be shocked by the goals that you reach!
What advice do you have for people who want to lose weight?
- Get your mind right first. Train your mind, and don’t put limits on yourself. The transformation starts on the inside first!
- Always remember why you started, and that will motivate you to keep going.
- Slow and steady wins the race. Some progress is better than none. The only way you fail is if you quit or never start!
- Don’t compare yourself to others.
- Enjoy the process, enjoy your journey!
