Awesome Weight Loss Story: Danielle lost 35 pounds. Wanting to walk into her 30s with a new body and new mindset, she re-started her weight loss efforts this year with a weight loss program and lots of exercise. She shared with us what she’s done to release the weight…
I’ve been struggling with trying to lose weight for years. I would start, then stop, then start again and stop. I decided in February 4th of this year that I was going to stick to it. I’m turning 30 years old in October and I wanted to go into it with a new out look and a new body.
I joined Weight Watchers for the first month while working out. I changed the way I ate, cutting all red meat, sweets and fried food. I also started working out twice a day at Planet Fitness. It has been hard and there have been times when I’ve wanted to give up, but I’m determined not to do that this time. I’m not at my goal weight yet but I’m pushing toward it. I want to be under 200 pounds by October. My starting weight was 265 pounds and I now weigh 230 pounds. I am 5’8″ tall, 29 yrs old and my total weight loss so far is 35 lbs.
My workout includes, the elliptical machine for 15 minutes, 15 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the step climber. I also do an 30 minute express workout twice a week. I work out 5 days a week. On days that I can not make it to the gym, I use my Wii “Just Dance” for 30 minutes.
I’m thankful for this page, Black Women Losing Weight. It’s inspirational to see other women stories and it has kept me motivated when I wanted to stop. I hope my story encourages someone not to stop but to keep going for it.
