Transformation of the Day: Dani lost 65 pounds. She found success with consistent workouts, Veganism, meditation, prayer, and a new mindset. Part of this mom’s motivation is wanting her daughters to be proud of her.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
My weight has fluctuated over the last ten years after having two kids and managing stress. Now, I do what “My future self” would appreciate. I eat clean, work out, meditate, pray, and don’t overthink anymore.
My daughters are a big motivation because I want them to be proud of me. I want to live a long, healthy life and look good naked too, Lol.
How did you change your eating habits?
I had to lay off sweets (sugar), which are my favorite and increase my veggies and water intake. I eventually transitioned to Veganism. I love making homemade green smoothies packed with fruit and vegetables, spices, and sea moss.
What did your workout routine consist of?
I do HIIT training at my local park. I’ve done a lot of home resistance band work during this quarantine and hot yoga.
How often did you workout?
I do something every single day. I love to jump rope.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I’ve gone from 220 pounds down to 155 pounds.

When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I have lost excess weight twice. My most recent journey started in January 2019. I took it up a notch during quarantine by doing yoga and going Vegan.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
I had to learn that happiness is a choice, and I learned how to condition my mind/thinking. My body will adapt to my goals with consistency, dedication, and focus, but disciplining my mind takes habitual daily work… habit stacking.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Take accountability for where you are. Know that you can and will progress toward your goals, and work towards those goals daily.
