Weight Loss Story of the Day: Crystal lost 79 pounds. This proud mom was inspired to change her life and get healthy to be more active with her daughter. She is now off high blood pressure medicine, feeling healthier and giving God the glory for her transformation. Here is what she shared with us…
On Nov 6, 2013 I embarked on journey to become healthy. My inspiration to change was my faith in God and my daughter. I knew that I couldn’t play with her and didn’t have the energy to do much. I weighed in at 312 pounds and was wearing a size 24 in pants. Today, I wear a size 16 (and counting) and weigh in at 233 pounds (height: 5’3″). In the past, my weight became a constant issue. Could hardly put on my clothes. I was also a borderline diabetic and already on blood pressure pills. A year ago I had also lost hope and my self-esteem was lost. I cried and but I pushed past my pain and struggle. With my lifestyle change, I’m no longer on medication and my heart is getting healthier by the day. I can play with my daughter more as well. Hope came and found me.
Thank God in Heaven for sending me a trainer that pushes me to be the best me. I’ve really got with a health coach who keep me motivated. I started eating right and exercising. No baked goods, no pork, no red meat and no sweets. I also drink lots of water. My workout is a lot of high intensity training. Squats, jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups, treadmill and battle ropes.
Today, I’m medication free. Daily I’m pushing to be the best I can be and I know God has keep me through it all. I have lost almost 80 pounds and still counting. My pray and hope is for people to learn to love themselves and be healthy. My advice for others: Stay focused and be constant. Every day won’t be peachy, but if you try, even if it’s just one lap, it will be one lap you didn’t do yesterday. Never give up on yourself or dream and love yourself to the fullest.
