Transformation of the Day: Courtney lost 41 pounds. Her wakeup call came on Easter Day 2019 when she saw photos from church. She cried all day long and felt like she let herself go. The next morning, she started began to take action to change her life.
In 2019, I had reached my highest weight of 181 pounds. I became so sad when I looked in the mirror. I had totally lost all self-control when I came to food, eating whatever I wanted and whenever I wanted. SMH.
I began a business (Always Primping Cosmetics) and wanted to be the face of my company. I started attending networking events via an invitation from a fellow Boss Babe. I was so embarrassed when I saw photos of myself next to her.
The final straw for me came on Easter 2019. We took photos at church, and I was utterly shocked by how far I had let myself go. I cried the entire rest of that day. The next morning, I got myself together and said, “THIS IS IT!” I will not sit, cry, and be sad over something I have complete control over and the ability to change.
How did you change your lifestyle?
I reached out to a trainer (@teambodyright) and changed my eating habits drastically. My workouts were HIIT (high-intensity interval training). I worked out three times a week (Mon, Wed, and Fri).
No fried foods and no sugary foods/drinks. I ate completely clean and dropped a total of 41 pounds!
What is your current weight? What is your height?
My current weight is 140 pounds, and my height is 5’4″.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
The biggest lessons I learned were self-control and self-care. I was eating whatever, whenever and without a care in the world, until one day, when I realized how much weight I had gained. I realized that we only get one body while we are here on this earth, and we have to take care of ourselves.
What advice would you like to share?
For anyone that wants to change, I want them to know it is possible! You can do it! I was so lazy and out of shape. I never thought I would see the day that I would kill in it in the gym like I do now. With God, all things are possible. You can do it!

Congratulations! Thank you for sharing. Starting where you started and decided to work out 3 times a week just before I read your success story. Look at God!
