Transformation of the Day: Corando lost 25 pounds. Since March, she’s used running, weight lifting and portion control to get awesome results. Check out her story.
Starting weight: 170 pounds
Current weight: 145 pounds
Height 5’2″
I’m 43 years old and I’ve lost 25 pounds total. I started my weight loss journey on March 1, 2017 by eating right. I haven’t taken any pills or anything like that. I have been on this journey for 7 months and I’m loving it.
What was your motivation?
My motivation was being diagnosed with fibroid tumors about 2 yrs ago. I had surgery to have them removed in Feb 2015. I was very unhappy with my appearance afterwards, so I decided to make a change.
When I wanted to give up, the thing that inspired me the most was a desire to live healthier and my disgust with my outer appearance. Also, as a marathon runner, it was disheartening not being able to keep up with my peers.
How did you change your eating habits?
I’ve gotten results strickly by eating better food each day and having smaller portions. My goal is to stay under 2,000 calories a day. I’m still enjoying the foods I like. I’m just cutting down the portion sizes and eating better.
What did your workout routine look like?
I’m into running hardcore and I lift weights daily. I workout every single day for at least 30 minutes a day.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
The biggest lesson I have learned is to never give up on yourself. Your health is the most important part of who you are.
What advice would you share with women who want to lose weight?
The most important advice I have for those who want to lose weight is to make a decision, create a plan and be persistent. Remember to eat five small meals daily, drink plenty of water and make sure to get your cardio done daily. (at least 30 minutes)

Thrilled to read a story about someone who eats something other than grilled meats and veggies. That’s ideal, but not motivating to someone who is just starting. Nice to know it happens by portion control of your current favorites. Thanks for sharing.
